A lot of people have been asking what the Star ratings and Force Points are that show up under a user's name in posts.  I thought I'd go ahead and clear that up.

The Force Rating has two links below it, light side and dark side.  These correspond to a thumbs up or thumbs down.  The point of the system is to allow people to give a thumbs up to people who are helpful and a thumbs down to people that were trolls, not helpful, abusive, etc. A user must have more than 10 posts before they can give a thumbs up or down to another user.

The star ratings simply correspond to the number of posts the person has made.  It goes hand-in-hand with the rankings available on the forums.

Currently there are 7 rankings (more may be added later):
Recruit
Padawan
Jedi
....5 more somewhat secret ones  :o

The only other star ratings you might see are for moderators and myself (the administrator).

The Light Side / Dark Side links don't appear until a user has 30 posts.

FYI.

And remember to reserve Dark Side for something that's really bad (hateful, racist, etc).
