Also, I am pretty sure that the theme decks include a D in the abbreviation:

Elite Assault Theme Deck - EAD
Thermal Detonator Theme Deck - TDD

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars_PocketModel_TCG#Elite_Assault_Theme_Deck

Good job putting these together though.  For newcomers, it isn't easy to know what people are talking about if they abbreviate all the time.

I think we need to do more of the abbreviations that we use here.

MMP = Mustafar Mining Platform
AL = Acceptable Loss
CIZ = Courscant Industrial Zone
KCF = Kamino Cloning Facility

LGS = Local Gaming Store

I am sure there are many more, this is all that was on top of my head.

slightlyiffy - "AT-AT, so good, they named it twice."

Awesome idea! + :force: I've included here a few other abbreviations I've seen, as well as a few terms we use frequently which may not be clear to someone new.

DSEP = Death Star Exhaust Port
DST = Death Star Trench
DS = Dagobah Swamp
AD = Assassin Droid

+ :force: = plus Force (karma for the site)
Alt (card) = an alternate version of a normal card, done in foil and usually a different picture, typically given away as prize support for WK supported events/tournaments. The text and numbers are identical.
WK = WizKids
PM = Private Message

I've also seen these variations:
TFU Tin -or- FU = The Force Unleashed Tin
EATD = Elite Assault Theme Deck
TDTD = Thermal Detonator Theme Deck
FLGS = Friendly Local Gaming Store

Complete Collector Set = 1x each card and unit
Complete Playable Set = 3x each card and unit

Oops....Somehow the first part of my post got deleted.  Before the "Also", I had written that the The Force Unleashed tin is abbreviated TFU for short.  I would refrain from using the two letter variant as it is only sporadically used and looks more like something vulgar has been abbreviated.

Sorry it didn't take the first time.

I have also seen FU used for other terms, but there are some kids here, so I will leave it at that.

TFU is what is used in both the Wikipedia and the Wookieepedia.  I think because the title of the multimedia release is "The Force Unleashed".

True. But that might just make it all the more important to clarify as it's been used a few times already around here. I think I'm one of the guilty parties to boot.

The Wizards of the Coast Miniatures set with the same name is kindly abbreviated FU.

I have also seen FU used for other terms, but there are some kids here, so I will leave it at that.

So to make a long story short, its TFU.

Just so you know:

CW - Clone Wars

WK - WizKids Games

DAD - Diamond/Alliance Distributors*

* This is the company that WK uses to distribute SWPM among other WK games - and also the one that seems to have messed up shipments to the point of turning people off to the game. (boo, hiss)
